Hey hi hello!
Welcome to my little treehouse. My name is Heliana, and I would describe myself as a crafty human person trying to art their way through life.
I’ve always been creatively inclined and struggled doing work that didn’t engage me in that way. As a queer chronically ill person and late diagnosed AuDHDer, trying to force myself to fit within systems not designed for me has not worked out that great.
However, five years ago, I discovered wire wrapping and became obsessed. I’ve always loved handcrafting gifts for my loved ones, and this wonderful technique became inspiration fuel for what would become one of a kind greatly appreciated presents.
But the inspiration and desire to create wouldn’t stop and soon my creations outnumbered my family and friends. So, with their encouragement, I decided to share all of my wonders with you all.
In true ADHD fashion however, I couldn’t just stop there. I love working with a variety of materials and techniques, so I began integrating my hand painted work within my designs, as well as designing laser cut pieces using the scrap plywood and MDF that my partner’s workplace would just throw away.
Avoiding waste wherever possible is a goal of mine. Most projects will result in scrap wires, but instead of throwing them away I’ve made quite unique pieces using only these scraps. Working within the limitations they impose is a challenge that has taught me a lot of patience.
While this may seem like a lot, what unifies all of my designs is the inspiration I draw from nature and fantasy, the incredible care I put into each and every piece, as well as the desire to create unique jewellery that will speak to you.
Each design tells a story that I hope will call out to its person or to a loved one that can’t wait to gift jewellery that looks like it was made specifically for someone they care deeply about.
Few things make me as happy as finding out someone gifted one of my lovingly handcrafted jewellery pieces to their significant other, parent or friend.
